We're supply chain practitioners who built the tool we always wanted
OmniaOps was started by people who spent years inside supply chains - frustrated by slow systems, endless spreadsheets, and planning processes that couldn't keep up with the business. We want people focused where they create the most value - getting them out of heavy spreadsheets and fragmented systems that were never built for how your business runs.
From the field
What we've seen and done
Years inside supply chains across different industries gave us a clear picture of what works, what doesn't, and where the real pain lives. Here are some of the things we've experienced first-hand.
The S&OP process ran every month. And every month, the targets it produced changed.
Hearing aids. Six months to train one person on a single production step. And headquarters in Denmark sending different volume targets every thirty days. The people in the Philippines were not failing. They were being set up to.
The demand planning team spent most of the month preparing for the review call. Improving the forecast came second.
Fifteen countries. Monthly forecasts. And a process where most of the planning team's time went into building PowerPoint slides for calls that were about to happen, instead of improving the numbers on those slides. Nobody had designed it that way. It had just become that way, gradually, one process step at a time.
The warehouse was at its limit nearly every week. We usually didn't see it until the line went down.
Novo Nordisk's most advanced production site. Drones moving product through the building. Fully automated assembly lines. And a cold warehouse running at ninety-five percent utilization every week, causing four to eight hours of lost production. The team managing it was not incompetent. They simply had no way to see what was coming.
The capacity model sat in one specialist's file. When he left, nobody else could open it and trust what they found.
The site making Wegovy and Ozempic could sell everything it produced. Which meant the capacity model sitting in one specialist's Excel file was one of the most important documents in the building. When he moved on, nobody else could run it. And buried inside it was a number that had been wrong for years.
